Snoop App Review UK 2026: Free Features and Plus Costs
Last updated: 2 October 2026
In a rush? Start with Snoop's free version if you want your spending and bills in one place. Plus is optional: I would only pay for it if you need its extra reports, alerts or manual accounts.
Snoop connects accounts through Open Banking, helping you follow spending and regular payments. The useful question is whether it helps you act: spot a subscription you no longer want, prepare for a bill or stick to a budget.
What do you get free?
The free app includes linked-account views, spending analysis, budgets, regular-payment tracking and credit-score checks. Try it with the accounts you use most, then see whether its reports make your money easier to follow.
How much does Snoop Plus cost?
Snoop's website lists £5.99 monthly or £47.99 billed annually, checked on 2 October 2026. Plus adds tools including manual accounts, net-worth tracking, custom categories, reports and alerts. Compare the free and Plus features before upgrading.
Twelve monthly payments cost £71.88, so annual billing saves £23.89 at those prices. The annual payment commits more upfront; monthly may suit you while deciding whether the extras help.
Is Plus worth it?
Name the feature you would pay for before subscribing. If your goal is to spot regular bills or subscriptions, the free app already includes tracking for those. A saving suggested by the free app does not, by itself, justify paying for Plus.
Manual accounts or extra reports may be useful if they fill a gap in the way you track money. Compare the subscription with the time or benefit you expect to get from those features, rather than buying it because another household saved money.
What about the £5 signup voucher?
The published referral terms I checked end on 30 September 2026. I cannot confirm an extension for a new signup today, so do not download the app expecting a £5 voucher. The buttons use my referral link; rely on a new offer only if Snoop shows current terms to you. Check the referral dates here.
Is it safe to connect a bank account?
Snoop says it uses Open Banking and does not see or ask for your bank login details. It describes encryption and two-factor authentication. Read the permissions on your bank's authorisation screen and review access if you stop using the app. Snoop explains its security measures here.
A budgeting app gives you a view of your money; it is not a reason to share login details with a referral page. Connect through the official app and bank authorisation flow.
Snoop or Emma?
Try the free options with the accounts you use and compare how easy it is to find bills and understand spending. My Emma review covers the alternative. I would not choose solely on the number of charts or assume one is better for every household.
My approach to using Snoop
I have used Snoop alongside Emma and other money apps. The bill suggestions are what I find useful, but I would compare any suggested deal with alternatives before switching. A recommendation is a starting point, not proof that it is the cheapest option for you.
I would keep a simple routine: review upcoming bills, look for regular payments you no longer need and check progress against your budget. Upgrade only if you keep needing a feature the free app lacks.
Common questions
Do I need Plus to use Snoop?
No. Start with free; the subscription adds optional features.
Will my bank work?
Check the bank-selection screen for your specific provider and account type before relying on Snoop for a complete view.
Will it save me money automatically?
You still need to review suggestions and decide what to change. Check fees, contract terms and whether a recommended deal fits your needs.
